The Power of Iodine Featuring a Personal Example

Today I was feeling uncharacteristically tired and wondering why. I knew I’d worked more and hadn’t slept as much as normal but still I noticed I much bigger difference than I have recently.

It dawned on me that I missed my iodine today.
I knew iodine made a big difference when I started taking it in September, but seeing the day to day contrast was astounding and really showed how much it makes me capable of!

I was tired by the early afternoon wondering how I’d been doing so many long days prior.
It really is like a secret weapon for productivity, fatigue and mental clarity. I know many of us need more of that.

Disclaimer: in some cases iodine may be contraindicated, particularly with autoimmune thyroid, which you may not always be aware that you have. Therefore it’s best to work with a practitioner to be safe about it! Not recommending for anyone genetically as I don’t know you or your situation without your unique health background and individual needs. Getting your own unique requirements is essential.

[…] Not enough people know how vital iodine is for brain health, energy and metabolism. There are receptors for this mineral in every single cell of your body, and that’s for a reason. At the same time, though, we’re collectively consuming less by default with the common switch to unrefined salt from iodized. Iodine in salt accounts for a huge proportion of the population’s iodine sufficiency. You can supplement safely with Icelandic kelp (provided you don’t have autoimmune/ hyperactive thyroid in which case it would be better to work with a practitioner on the issue). Many people can benefit from a larger dose than tablets of kelp provide but that needs to be done with careful monitoring and using essential cofactors. You can learn more about iodine here. […]
