What You Can Do to Make a Difference

Here are some sites for those of you who would like to take your commitment to health and your well-being a step further than voting with your dollar by boycotting the companies that are concealing the truth about their food from you. This gives you the options to be active in the political process by simply and conveniently signing petitions that lead to a more transparent, healthier and happier planet.

The first and most powerful thing you can do to step forward into making a difference this world each day, is by doing so with your vote and knife. Your dollar is the most influential way you can decide who is running the world. This is because when corporations become deprived of their precious profit they’re used to, they will be forced to make a change. You can easily start making a difference in this way by following this link to find out where to Find the Most Nourishing Food Near you .

Care2.com has some fantastic petitions such as this one which helps companies who are transitioning to organic to get support and provides a new kind of label while they are making the transition so their good deeds do not go unrecognized.  I have a blog written about the importance of this entitled Why Eating Organic is the Way to Go. Care2 also provides the option to start your very own petition, on whatever you find to be important! Click here to do so.

Here is a petition you can sign to prevent GMO mosquitoes from being released in the Florida Keys. If you aren’t already aware of the this threat, you may like to read about it in my post What is a GMO and Why Should I Care?.

This  takes it even a step further and provides a petition that will help stop GMOs from being produced, directly targeting Monsanto.  I thought this quote by a major American Health Institution to be quite the hard- hitting statement: “The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) urges doctors to prescribe non-GMO diets for all patients.” This statement alone is a good one to have in your arsenal for explaining to the unaware of the harm and dangers of GMO’s.

Another site I find especially helpful and informative on the fight for the right to know what’s in and is being done to our food is march-against-monsanto.com, they are immensely helpful for finding the latest information in that arena, including public gatherings and what can be done. You can also follow them on Facebook @MarchAgainstMonsanto
